The latest version of Folder Marker Free is still v1.4.0.2 - Not v3.0.1 > This version is for the Shareware versions.
Software Informer is a great program, but where it fails is in not detecting whether the software is freeware or shareware.
I run into this all the time and if I were to update all programs as suggested, I would run the risk having to pay hundredsof Dollars to buy all these programs - for me simply an impossibility.
Also, it results in numerous useless downloads of shareware programs I'm not going to buy.
If people are not careful, they would install the new versions, only to realize that their "old" program has been wiped out and if they're not going to buy the shareware version, they would have to re-install their freeware version again.
IMHO -an exercise in futility.
